This course provides an introduction to methods and tools for successful implementation of improvement projects using practically applied Six Sigma.

Six Sigma is presented as a practical and business-oriented method for standardized implementation of all improvement projects*.

Contents

These are introductory courses. The content has been systematically developed in collaboration with a number of senior managers and improvement experts from 2002 to the present day.

    • How to analyze causal relationships
    • How to use facts and process mapping in causal analysis

    • Brainstorming
    • Brainwriting
    • Guidelines for problem descriptions
    • SIPOC (high-level process map)
    • CTQ tree (visualization of customer requirements)
    • Fishbone diagram with 5 Whys
    • Flow chart
    • Histogram
    • Pareto chart
    • Control charts
    • Risk matrix
    • The PICK matrix (tool for prioritization)
    • Six Sigma roadmap
    • Six Sigma storyboard
  • Relevant literature
